Business Partners FAQ

How can we support the Alamo Chapter?

Each year our Chapter offers sponsorship opportunities that cover a full calendar year. These opportunities are offered in the form of packages at varying price ranges. Packages will include items like: attendance at monthly lunches, attendance at social events, website listing, and access to our membership list. Out of fairness to all interested companies, both new and existing business partners, the annual packages are the only opportunities to support each year. An email is sent in early January announcing that registration is open and each package is available on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to be included on the list to receive annual sponsorship information please email Nancy Collins, Business Partner Committee Chair, at [email protected].

May we sponsor a lunch or a Happy Hour without buying an Annual sponsorship?

Unfortunately, no. Sponsorships of all of our events are already built into the annual packages. If you are interested in supporting the Chapter and the sale of the packages has already passed for the year, you should sign up to receive notification when the next year’s registration is open. To sign up please email Nancy Collins, Business Partner Committee Chair, at [email protected]

Who are your members and what are their responsibilities?

Our Chapter has approximately 35 members and almost all of them are considered Regular Members. Regular Members are full-time legal administrators or support managers employed in a private law firm, legal service clinic, corporate legal department, university legal department, governmental legal agency, court system, charitable legal agency or some other organization engaged primarily in the practice of law. Our Chapter members represent approximately 34 law firms with offices in the San Antonio area. The firms range from small (1-10 attorneys) to large (60+ attorneys). Some firms are based solely in San Antonio and others have offices in other parts of the country.  95% of our membership reports that they have at least some influence on buying decisions when determining which business partners to use.

Is there a logo that we can use that promotes our ALA connection?

Yes there is! We created the Approved Business Partner Badge just for you!

Parameters for use of the 2020-2021 ALA Alamo Chapter Approved Business Partner badge (“the Badge”)

Apart from using the 2020-2021 ALA Alamo Chapter Approved Business Partner badge (“the Badge”) in its entirety and without modification, Business Partners are prohibited from using the ALA Alamo Chapter logo on any promotional materials, including websites. Neither the ALA Alamo Chapter logo nor the Badge may be used or duplicated in any way that implies the Business Partner is owned or operated as part of or in a joint venture with the ALA Alamo Chapter. Business Partners may advertise that they are Alamo Chapter ALA Business Partners including the year and level of partnership (ex. 2020 Gold Level Business Partner) and/or may use the Badge without modification on marketing materials, email or the Business Partner’s own website. Partners may also indicate the length of time they have been a Business Partner (ex. Business Partner of the ALA Alamo Chapter since 2005).
