Business Partner Committee

    The Business Partner Committee develops, fosters, and maintains positive work relationships between Business Partners, the Chapter, and members. The Committee serves as the primary contact for BPs, keeps the annual BP Membership Packet updated, recruits prospective BPs, coordinates registration and website presence, plans quarterly BP events, Connect over Coffee gatherings, and other events when BPs are invited to participate. The BP Board Liaison plans the holiday luncheon with the Committee's assistance.

    Communications Committee

    The Communications Committee works with a third party website designer to maintain and further develop the Chapter's website and creates and maintains the Chapter's LinkedIn and Facebook pages to provide information about events, news items and educational materials. The Committee also controls member and business partner email lists, routinely updates the calendar, coordinates new member and business partner access to the website, and communicates with the membership regarding their website profile photos and information.

    Education Committee

    The Education Committee works to enhance the competence and professionalism of Chapter members by providing learning opportunities in the areas of competencies as defined by ALA International. The Committee plans programs for our monthly membership meetings, the Managing Partner event, and plans the annual Educational Retreat. Emphasis is placed on CLM-inspired education for members and CLE-qualified programs for the MP event.

    Finance Committee

    The Finance Committee audits the Chapter's finances each year, works with a third party vendor to prepare and market the compensation survey, and issues a survey to members regarding various aspects of the Chapter's activities and objectives. In addition, this committee records individual member participation in Chapter activities for the purpose of awarding an educational scholarship. Members of the Finance Committee must not have served on the Board or have been a signatory to the Chapter's bank account for the period under audit.

    Membership Committee

    The Membership Committee promotes the Chapter to the legal community, actively works to attract new members and retain existing members, corresponds with prospective and new members, and assigns mentors. The Committee Chair coordinates the active list of members with ALA International.

    Past Presidents Committee

    The Past Presidents Committee coordinates a charitable event to support a local non-profit organizaton during the annual holiday luncheon and recommends and coordinates other community connection projects throughout the year.
